About Dr. Ahmed
Dr. Moustafa Ahmed is board-certified and fellowship-trained in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Critical Care. Formally served as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania, and as Division Director of Pain Management at the UTHealth McGovern Medical School established the interventional suite in an outpatient clinic in UT history. As one of the leading pain management physicians, Dr. Ahmed covers many medical facilities in Houston such as Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston HCA and Methodist hospitals, and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospitals.
Dr. Ahmed helped publish many articles and assisted in numerous chapters of academic research discussing various anesthetic procedures. He is also an author and contributor to academic journals and books reviewing different anesthesia and critical care approaches.
Dr. Ahmed’s philosophy centers on expert patient care and satisfaction. As a pain specialist, Dr. Ahmed has had many patients that have had to endure decades of chronic pain without ever realizing there was a solution. For decades, pain management has been helping patients, both young and old, to ease their acute and chronic pain. Some many advanced techniques and treatments can reduce pain levels and allow patients to get their lives back. On numerous occasions, patients who have never thought to carry out normal activities due to their severe pain can now return to their daily routines.
